On 06.08.2022 it was that time again – with the 15th First Reisebüro Drachter the first August highlight was on the programme. The conditions could not have been more perfect – the heatwave had taken a little break and there was even some rain the day before, which is always good for the course in hot summer periods.

What would these external conditions be without a perfect hostess. Even though Anja Drachter already has a lot of experience in organising the tournament, it is and remains a great effort and requires a lot of attention to detail to give the players and also the participants of the already traditionally offered taster day a perfect golf day.

From 11 a.m., the first flights went out on tee 1 and 10 – equipped with tee gifts and best wishes for a good game from the Drachter team.

Coffee, cake and soft drinks were waiting for the tournament participants at half-time, so fortified they continued to the 10th tee.

After the round, the players were greeted by the lovingly decorated clubhouse terrace typical of Fist Reisebüro Drachter-Cup, the musical accompaniment of the live band Zelig and the great, varied buffet of our caterer Didi Boubaker, which not only whetted the appetite but also whetted the appetite for journeys to the countries of origin of the various dishes.

“Ready for a holiday? Then you’ve come to the right place!” was Anja Drachter’s greeting at the beginning of the award ceremony. She thanked her guests, the catering, the greenkeeper team, the secretariat and the club management, but above all her team, which had actively supported her in the organisation and implementation.

On the results …

The award ceremony was conducted jointly by Martin Belting and Anja Drachter.

Julian Gerritsen played the best golf of the day and won the gross score with 29 points, ahead of Michael Flür (28 points) and Dirk Terwege (25 points).

In the netto class A (handicap 18.4 or better), Dietmar Mecking (42 p.) won ahead of Dirk Terwege, who also scored 42 points but was defeated in the green table play-off. Third place went to Michael Flür with 41 points. As Dirk Terwege and Michael Flür were already successful in the gross ranking, Dr Thomas Paus (41 p.) and Catarina Bürkel (39 p.) moved up to the list of prize winners.

In class B (handicap 18.5 to 26.4) Jutta Giesing won with 42 points ahead of Thomas Coenen (39 points) and Helmut Kampshoff (38 points).

The net class C (handicap 26.5 and higher) was won by Candy Markus-Häsel (41 points) ahead of Christiane Malburg (40 points) and Kai Tielemann (37 points). The “Schnupperturnier” was won by …
